Why is the gas supply cut off after the water supply is stopped? What accidents is this meant to prevent?
The main purpose is to prevent water from overflowing in the air-cooled tower and flowing back into the air compressor (due to a failed check valve) or into the molecular sieve. When the air compressor is shut down, the pressure inside the tower drops, which hinders the return of water. Additionally, if the low-temperature water pump continues to operate, the aforementioned risks remain~~
When an air-cooled tower is operating normally, there is a certain pressure present. This pressure prevents water from entering the area in front of the check valve at the compressor outlet due to high pressure. If the air supply is stopped first and then the water supply, it is possible for the water level to rise above the air inlet of the air-cooled tower, resulting in water flowing back into the air duct at the compressor outlet. If the check valve fails, it can cause severe damage to the compressor
