Rapid restart after shutdown is one of the advantages of circulating fluidized bed boilers; it is generally used when the boiler needs to be shut down as planned and is to be restarted in a short time. It is particularly suitable for situations involving short-term repairs, brief power outages, excessively low load levels, or operation on a two-shift basis. Depending on the performance of each boiler, the shutdown time is generally several hours or a little over ten hours.
