Everyone has many flaws; don’t view things in such an absolute light. Treat everyone around you with kindness and generosity, and when problems arise, look for the reasons within yourself. It’s easy to love oneself, but difficult to love others. If you can tolerate others in the same way you tolerate yourself, and if you can put yourself in their shoes, then few people will bother you anymore. Your popularity will be better than you can imagine. For, putting oneself in others’ shoes is the Buddha’s heart.
