Where are metal or non-metallic expansion joints installed in circulating fluidized bed boilers?
Expansion joints are required at locations such as the primary and secondary air ducts, slag discharge pipe seals, superheater wall penetrations, furnace outlet seals, and material legs
Non-metallic expansion joints are typically installed in areas that are exposed to high-temperature flue gas for extended periods, such as the ignition air ducts, the flue ducts at the inlet and outlet of the separator, and the tail flue ducts.
I would like to ask if there are any relevant standards for such non-metallic expansion joints? For the pipe rack installation near non-metallic expansion joints, are the same requirements as those for metallic bellows expansion joints applicable, such as taking into account the force exerted by blind flanges and installing guide frames?
