I’ve looked at the diagrams for several projects; the nitrogen outlet ports are all of type FO, which is no problem. However, for the inlet ports, some are of type FC while others are FO. I would appreciate it if an expert could help analyze which option is better. O(∩_∩)O Thank you
It is safer to use FC for nitrogen sealing in atmospheric pressure tanks, in order to prevent overpressure in the storage tank.
It depends on the situation; my personal understanding is that it’s used to prevent leaks in ordinary materials. This is generally FC. It shuts down in an accident condition; it’s better to allow a little leakage rather than let pressure build up. Some substances are extremely toxic, or they are flammable and explosive. Use FO. Because the more severe the accident conditions, the more necessary it is to keep nitrogen flowing to prevent it from leaking out. Even when the safety valve opens, the medium flows along the closed safety valve channel.

What is being asked here is likely the sulfur-containing wastewater tank (the raw water tank for the wastewater stripping unit) and the amine solution storage tank or amine solution circulation tank used for desulfurization.

What about your raw water degassing tanks? What do the nitrogen-sealed inlet and outlet look like respectively?
