I have a question regarding the conductivity of conductors. It is said that conductors conduct electricity due to the flow of electrons within them. So here’s the question: if I cut a wire that is conducting electricity in half, why don’t there end up more electrons in one section of the wire than in the other?
The speed of your scissors should be much lower than the speed at which electrons flow.
