What are all those gas storage tanks at the gasification site for? What is its function?
Apart from high and low pressure nitrogen tanks, and oxygen buffer tanks available in some manufacturers, most are instrument air tanks. Their main function is to stabilize the pressure of instrument air, prevent air competition, and ensure the switching speed and stability of instrument valves.
It depends on the tank in that system; different systems have different functions.
