Why is there no A412 electrode in NB-T47018.2-2011? Do the members of the standard drafting committee consider it unsuitable as a welding electrode for pressure vessels?
47018 is a recommended standard, not a mandatory one; it merely suggests its use. If your welding procedure qualification covers test pieces welded with A412 electrodes, then those electrodes can also be used.
May I ask what material you use to weld with that A412? It’s the first time I’ve heard of this type of welding rod.
Yes, there is A402; I haven’t heard of A412.
