We offer CNG reciprocating compressors with two-stage compression. I know that lubricating oil serves to lubricate and conduct heat for cooling. I would like to ask what would happen if there is a problem with the gasket of the oil filling check valve, resulting in improper oil filling? It should be the high inter-stage temperature alarm, right? Can a faulty oil injection check valve, due to poor sealing, cause gas to leak back, thereby affecting the operation of the oil injection distributor and leading to problems with the compressor’s overall oil lubrication system?
Dry friction of the piston rings causes leakage. Gas backflow can affect the lubrication system.
Won’t dry friction trigger a high temperature alarm? Will there be any major accidents?
First, let’s confirm whether the support rings and piston rings are filled with polytetrafluoroethylene material If that’s the case, there shouldn’t be any major problems; it’s just that the support rings and piston rings wear out relatively quickly, so pay extra attention to that.
Check whether the compressor cylinder packing design is designed for oil-free lubrication with minimal oil usage; if no oil is being applied, simply replace the oil supply point – it’s a very simple task. If that doesn’t work, shut down the machine and deal with the issue after it’s shut down.
The 5th floor is correct. If the compressor uses an oil-free design with minimal oil lubrication, then there’s no problem. But if it was designed for oil lubrication, using cast-iron rings, this will lead to dry friction between the piston rings and the support rings, resulting in high temperatures that can damage the piston and the cylinder liners.
