Who has a catalytic closed-system start-up and shutdown plan? Please share it.
I’ve heard of this for the first time – is it about shutting down operations without turning off the flares?
Could you please explain what is meant by closed start-up and shutdown?
What does that mean? Is it referring to environmental protection? Why isn’t there a top vent on the steam tower/vaporizer, and why isn’t there a bottom vent on the condensate drain?
The closed shutdown and startup plan involves carrying out green shutdown and startup procedures: no flaring is used, oil does not spill to the ground, and gas does not escape into the air; cleaning is done in a closed environment, and oil is removed in a closed system. To achieve green start-up and shutdown, for existing plants, the processes need to be optimized.
There is significant pressure to protect the environment these days, so it is necessary to optimize operations in order to reduce or eliminate unauthorized discharges. Everyone can share their good experiences and methods related to their own equipment, so as to improve together! We don’t light a torch at the start of operation; instead, the rich gas compressor is warmed up and started up before feeding material in, that is, by injecting fuel into the regenerator to generate steam.
