Is it acceptable to store bottled gasoline in Class A warehouses, with the oil drums placed on wooden pallets? Is it necessary to install an electrostatic discharge device separately on the oil tank? Which standard or regulation contains this provision?
It seems it should be placed directly on the ground; all I could find was the requirement that the surface must not produce sparks. Nothing else seems to be specified
In my opinion, if the barrels used to store gasoline are iron barrels, it is advisable to place them on the ground as this helps to dissipate static electricity; I do not recommend using barrels made of other materials, as placing them on wooden pallets does not help in dissipating static electricity. Check it in the fire and explosion prevention design specifications!
Neither the fire protection design codes nor other regulations specify this; only is it stipulated that static electricity must be dissipated when filling the tank with oil
The floor of the oil depot storage area should be a cement floor covered with rubber.
Just ensure proper grounding, including the iron conduits and brackets used for storing gasoline.
Laying rubber also does not prevent static electricity. Besides, what I mainly want to know is which standard or regulation has requirements in this regard. I’ve looked up a lot of information, but it all relates to the need for static grounding during canning.

Placing it on a pad or support plate also meets the specifications. Placing it directly on a concrete floor may also not provide sufficient conductivity to discharge static electricity. Reference.
