Flame barriers or fire diques must be installed for storage tanks of flammable liquids in accordance with the requirement of one dike per tank. For a 100-cubic-meter flammable liquid tank whose tank foundation is only 300 mm high, how should the wastewater inside the tank be discharged after a fire dike is installed? If a sewage well is installed in each fire barrier, there will be too many of them. If a sewage well is installed throughout the tank area, the wastewater from each tank must pass through the fire dike to reach the sewage well. How does your company do it?
Sharing my personal opinion, the practice of using separate tanks and dikes is intended to reduce the area of spread in case of a leak; from this perspective, it would be best to have a sewage well for each one.
Does the oily wastewater in each fire barrier need to be drawn out separately, and according to which standards?
After we completed the construction, each tank of flammable liquid was placed on its own dike, and a sewage well was installed within each fire barrier dike.
