Liquefaction has requirements for the components of the feed gas, such as H2O, CO2, Hg, H2S, total sulfur, and heavy hydrocarbons. Blast furnace gas, coke oven gas, water gas, and semi-water gas contain large amounts of CO and H2; these can be physically separated or subjected to methanation, with the production of LNG from coke oven gas serving as a reference.
Pre-treatment is required before liquefaction. Is the density of gas expressed as a value relative to the density of water?

In the SDS of chemicals, for those substances that are gases under normal conditions, there is a relative density value with respect to water.
