In industrial production, there is usually a separation between equipment and processes, as well as between production activities. Over the years, experienced workers have said that it’s best not to focus on equipment management within a company; the reason for this is that no matter how well equipment management is done, managers don’t see the results of it. Equipment management and production management both require human oversight, so it is necessary to manage the people first. Only by managing people properly before moving on to managing equipment can one manage the equipment effectively, and only then can production be managed. A good production management system is predicated on well-maintained equipment and strong employee cohesion; well-maintained equipment is the result of equipment management, which means someone needs to be responsible for it.
Both equipment management and production management are important; equipment is the foundation! Working in equipment management in companies is very exhausting; there are no holidays (as maintenance work has to be done), and one also faces a lot of pressure. When there are problems with production quality, the blame is often shifted to the equipment, while when things go well, it’s as if there are no issues with the equipment at all...

Qualified products represent the fundamental purpose of a company’s production activities as well as the essential condition for its survival. For example, the manufacturing process is like a tree; the equipment and electrical systems are the soil and water, while the flowers that bloom or the fruits that ripen represent the products.
Production management and equipment management complement each other; poor equipment management affects production, while inadequate production management leads to more equipment failures. Both are important. However, in companies involved in production, those in charge often think they understand equipment management, which means that equipment managers are sometimes considered unnecessary. When serious problems occur with the equipment, those responsible for production claim they don’t understand it either. In my opinion, managing equipment requires effort without much recognition, while production takes credit for successes and the equipment bears the blame when problems arise
