We operate with two towers; during regeneration, the pressure in one tower fluctuates while the other operates normally. What could be the reasons for this? We use Bayer’s resin. . .
The cut-off valve of the regeneration tower has internal leakage, and the leakage is quite severe; it should be thoroughly inspected
I have checked it; all the shut-off valves are functioning properly. It is suspected that the resin particles in the resin catcher at the top of the tower have caused blockage in the catcher
:) It is also suspected to be a water and alkali mixer, with the mixer clogged
How many steps are there in the regeneration process? In which step is the pressure difference high, or is the pressure difference high throughout? Is there broken resin inside the resin trap? Does it fluctuate only after mixing in the acid and base mixer?
During backwashing, it is not possible to maintain a normal flow rate; the required flow rate for backwashing is 102, but sometimes only around 70 can be achieved. It is necessary to stop the regeneration process and then reopen the valve in order for the flow rate to increase, and at that point the tower pressure also rises; On the collector side, there is a collection network and tower; generally, it’s not possible to tell whether there is broken resin present ;
Turn on the bypass of the collector and take a look
Ensure the liquid level in the feed tank is appropriate, then disassemble the resin catcher to check for any broken resin!
We don’t have real collectors; the resin tower uses a two-tower process
