Our facility is equipped with a water softening system that uses RO technology along with ion exchange resins. It is currently shut down for maintenance, and the repair process will take around a month. What are the potential hazards of not using these ion exchange resins for such a long time? Thank you

After undergoing an exchange reaction with anionic resins, these substances are difficult to be removed during regeneration, and their gradual accumulation can affect the performance of the resins.
