Every industry has a reason for existing; it’s impossible for them all to shut down in winter. Which strong individuals can survive? Therefore, the coal chemical industry must strengthen its internal capabilities, reduce energy consumption and waste, operate for extended periods, cut costs, in order to get through this difficult time.
This is related to the final product, the product structure, and structural adjustments. As for water-coal slurry gasification, it is already quite mature; the production costs in the same region do not differ much, but there are significant differences between regions. In the case of methanol, near coal-producing areas, the cost of transporting coal is low, while the added value from transporting the product is relatively high, resulting in decent profitability. However, for manufacturers located far from coal-producing areas, since 20% of coal consists of moisture and ash, the costs associated with transportation end up being a waste, leading to higher production costs and thus lower profitability.
The situation in the chemical industry is poor this year; keep going! It will be better next year!
