Hello, dear sea enthusiasts. I have an axial flow pump equipped with a four-stage 37kW motor. To increase its capacity, I need to raise the flow rate from 730 m³/h to 850 m³/h. I am considering replacing the motor with a four-stage 45kW motor designed for use with frequency conversion, so that the speed can be increased to around 1600–1700 rpm through frequency conversion (increasing the frequency). Our electrical and instrumentation engineers suggested that the variable frequency speed control of pumps always involves reducing the frequency; increasing the frequency can lead to problems for the motor when it operates for extended periods of time. What does Haiyou think? I would be very grateful if you could provide some help.
All motors have a rated power; if it’s not sufficient, they need to be replaced

It is indeed not recommended to increase or decrease the frequency of a regular motor beyond its specified range, as this can lead to overheating and damage to the motor. The situation is different for variable-frequency motors~~

The nameplate on the motor indicates a frequency of 50 Hz; the frequency should remain within 50 Hz, and if it exceeds this value, the motor needs to be replaced.
