Wrong. In this case, only the content within the table can be deleted; to delete the entire table, it is necessary to select an additional row above or below it (adding an empty row in advance if needed).
I think there should also be a correct answer to this. Selecting a table is just one way to do it; by dragging the mouse to the top-left corner of the table, a square with an X will appear. By clicking on it, you can delete the table using either the delete or backspace key.
