(1) Test the strength of the equipment so that any potential defects in the material or during the manufacturing process can be detected in a timely manner before it is put into production, allowing for appropriate corrective actions to be taken. (2) It can help to partially relieve stress. During the hydrostatic test, local yielding occurs in the weld area, causing the residual stresses to be reallocated; this reduces the residual stresses at the welds and lowers the risk of brittle failure under certain applied loads.

There are two reasons, I guess! 1. Check the strength of the tower structure. 2. Check the airtightness of the tower structure

The water pressure test is a strength test, while the air pressure test is a airtightness test. Used to detect overall strength. :)
Is a pressure test a airtightness test? It should be a voltage withstand test.
