The table below shows the selection guidelines for common drainage pipe diameters, which are generally in line with standards such as SH3012. However, in the project, the exhaust and drainage pipes are basically all 15~20 mm in diameter. Especially in heat exchangers, high-pressure equipment, and pipelines, when asked, the answer is that it has always been the case in this industry. Is it appropriate to use pipes with a relatively small diameter for exhaust and liquid discharge? In front of control valves, it is usually DN20; for towers, it is often 40 or 50, with smaller sizes of 20 or 25 as well. For the system pipes used for pressure testing and waterproofing, DN25 is generally used. There are few pipeline types with drain valves; we have ones in DN25 as well as DN40.
DD, I’ve encountered a similar issue recently; according to the table, it should be larger than DN25, but in reality it is DN25. I’m not sure how to interpret this
