How many years can a safety agreement signed between a company and an external construction contractor be valid? Originally, we signed a contract for one year; however, during a recent inspection it was found that there were some missing elements in the agreement, so a few additional items were added! If I sign again, there won’t be many days left in the 15-year period, so I plan to sign for another 16 years as well! It’s equivalent to signing for two years!
Originally, we signed contracts for one year at a time – not too long, so as to avoid sensitivity issues.
It is easier to manage a construction area when signing an agreement once; this involves informing the contractors about the potential hazards and having them commit to certain key points in order to clarify responsibilities.
Security protocols must be implemented at all times, with regular checks, supervision, and reminders.
The thing is, 15 years will pass soon, and I don’t want any hassle, so I’ll just sign up for 16 as well! Since both parties are willing, there shouldn’t be any problem, right?
Sign the contracts according to their construction schedule; there should be periodic signings, otherwise it will be difficult to clarify things in case of any accidents. Sign a contract for each construction cycle, and try to keep the duration as short as possible. This is just a suggestion. Make your own decision
Sign for the specific changes last time, and for the overall situation in 2016, sign one more time before that.
