What material is best for high-temperature, wear-resistant thermocouples in boiler furnaces? Please give me some advice. Thank you
Anything that is wear-resistant will do. Check how long the wear-resistant length needs to be on the front end
Our factory uses Type B thermocouples, with corundum sleeves that are heat-resistant and wear-resistant; however, they break quite easily, so special care is required during installation
If higher requirements are needed, corundum sleeves can be considered; they are slightly more expensive
Corundum sleeve, 1300 Type S, 1500 degrees Type B
Firstly, consider that the corundum outer tube can withstand temperatures of 1700 degrees; the operating environment should not be too complex, as corundum is very fragile. Secondly, consider wear resistance; normal wear resistance is sufficient at around 900 degrees, while it’s better to have wear resistance up to 1200–1300 degrees for use in complex environments. In terms of price, K-type models are cheaper, while S and B types are slightly more expensive! We hope it will be adopted; we are very dedicated! Thank you

For temperatures below 1200 degrees, K-type thermocouples are suitable; wear-resistant thermocouples made of high-temperature steel are appropriate, as corundum is too brittle. For temperatures above 1300, types S or B; silicon carbide tube wear-resistant thermocouples 153755096511 can be used
