During today’s inspection, I noticed copper powder at the connection between the copper sleeve of a mixer and its shaft head; I’m not sure what’s causing this The shaft is about 5 meters long and has three layers of mixing paddles, with the largest diameter in the middle. The rotation speed is 78 rpm/min. No photos were taken due to the presence of protective nets; please understand!

The bushings of the bottom bearing used for stirring generally have a service life; if they become unusable, a new bushing needs to be installed. We generally use cemented carbide for shaft sleeves these days, as it is wear-resistant

There are many reasons for this; generally, it is caused by excessive radial runout of the shaft. Sometimes it is due to improper alignment of the shaft during installation, sometimes there are issues with the shaft’s manufacturing process, and sometimes the static balance of the blades is not properly achieved. The latest standard seems to be a radial runout of no more than 0.5/1000
How do I align the shaft during installation?
It’s a packing seal (PTFE gasket), with the shaft sleeve pressing down on it~
Did you see it during the inspection? It’s not the bottom bearing area, right? I really would like you to take a photo to take a look – which specific area?
Measure the runout of the shaft using a dial indicator, and align the shaft
