A new pilot project for processing coal and oil together has been launched in Jingbian, Yanchang Petroleum, which provides us with new insights. Therefore, the editor has once again compiled the key technologies involved; any omissions are kindly requested to be corrected by others. 1. Pulp production: Coal, atmospheric and vacuum residue, fluidized cracking slurry, heavy crude oil, tar sand asphalt, etc., are used to produce kerosene slurry. 2. Preheating: The oil pump raises the slurry to the reaction pressure; after mixing with hydrogen, preheating is carried out. 3. The reaction takes place in a fluidized-bed catalytic reactor at a temperature of 435–445 degrees and a pressure of 15–20 MPa, with the distillate oil and gas being utilized separately.

The construction project of the Jingbian Energy, Chemical and Comprehensive Utilization Industrial Park of Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd. is divided into 5 bid sections: A, B, C, D, and E. Section A: A methanol production plant with an annual capacity of 1.5 million tons, along with the utility systems required for its operation, costing approximately 7.4 billion yuan ; Section B: 1.5 million tons per year DCC production facility and the separation system integrated for DCC and MTO; PP and PE facilities worth approximately 4.03 billion yuan ; ; Bid Section C: 500,000 tons/year MTO, approximately 1.37 billion RMB; Bid Section D: Thermal power section ; Approximately 568 million RMB: Bid Section E – earthwork grading works for 6 square kilometers of land designated for project development in the park, as well as road construction within the park (approximately 17 kilometers). About 200 million RMB.

Using slurry to disperse coal powder is indeed a great idea. The water content in the coal slurry can be reduced significantly, thereby easing the burden on water treatment.
