As the title suggests, for seamless steel pipes with the same wall thickness class and nominal size, which one is more resistant to coal dust erosion – P11 or 20#? I’ve looked up a lot of information but still can’t figure it out; I’d appreciate some advice
I’m not too familiar with this either, but you should be able to find out the differences between the two by doing some research
Generally, hardness is considered, and hardness corresponds to the C content
The wear resistance of the two materials is similar. To increase hardness and wear resistance, it can be altered through heat treatment. P11: (14Cr1mp) carbon content 0.15–0.20, carbon content ; 0.17.P11 is more wear-resistant than 20.
P91 belongs to cemented carbide steel; its grade is higher than 20#, it has greater hardness and better wear resistance than 20#
It’s not just the C content that matters; the microstructure and heat treatment processes also have an impact, right?
One is alloy steel, the other is carbon steel; alloy steel is more wear-resistant. Alloy steel is generally used in place of carbon steel in areas subject to erosion corrosion
The original poster is referring to P11 and 20#, and their purpose is actually for washing coal powder! ! Just because P11 is more wear-resistant, does that mean it should be used for these pipes? ! ! Ignoring costs? ? ! ! You even included a P91 here:funk: Hehe
