How should salts, acids, thiols, and phenols in petrochemical wastewater be treated?
What is the phenol content? ? Phenol compounds can be adsorbed using resin methods to recover phenol and reduce COD, thereby facilitating subsequent treatment; we have carried out some treatments for wastewater containing phenols in the petrochemical industry

The first stage involves the iron-carbon micro-electrolysis process, which removes some oils and improves the biodegradability of the wastewater. The second stage utilizes a biochemical treatment system; processes such as SBR and CASS can be employed. The third stage involves further advanced treatment of the wastewater after biochemical treatment.

I’m not sure what the level of phenol is, nor the specific amounts of salts and thiols present Thus, a rough approach has been established; the next step is to conduct experiments and gather data to support it.
