What impact does an excessively high negative pressure in the isolation tank of a orifice plate flow meter have on differential pressure measurement? High or low? Gentle experts, could anyone help me answer this?
A high negative pressure on the isolation tank side will result in a reduced differential pressure, which in turn leads to lower measurement values

When the pressure on the positive side is high, the differential pressure increases, resulting in higher measurement values; when the pressure on the negative side is high, the differential pressure decreases, leading to lower measurement values. Generally, if the installation heights are not consistent, it is necessary to make adjustments. In addition to differences in installation height, varying liquid levels inside the tank can also affect the measurement values
The installation height generally cannot be exactly the same, nor can the liquid level inside the tank be exactly at the same level. Therefore, it is advisable to perform a calibration before putting the flow meter into use in order to eliminate the effects of such differences.

It depends on the specific details of the differential pressure transmitter you are using; zeroing it can be done as long as the transmitter’s range is not changed (here, this does not refer to the upper measurement limit, but rather to the value between the upper and lower measurement limits). Modern smart transmitters no longer have separate zero-point adjustment mechanisms; zero adjustment is used instead.
