The amount of water and vapor added is generally determined based on the load of the carburetor and the inlet linear velocity of the cyclone separator; too high a linear velocity can lead to increased catalyst loss.
The amount of stripping steam in the stripping section is adjusted primarily based on the density of that section; if the stripping effect is poor, the amount of oxides in the reaction gas will increase.
