The regulations state that when firewalls without doors, windows, or openings are used for separation, structures can be placed adjacent to each other; here, \"adjacent\" also means that the structure above cannot be located in the same area as the workshop. Additionally, if the location of exhaust fans and doors is outside the explosion-hazardous area, there should be no problems. In short, it’s necessary to prevent combustible gases from entering the associated rooms. If doors and windows are located within the explosion-hazardous area, positive pressure ventilation must be used to address this issue.
If you’re sure it’s a blast wall, then this design is overly stringent; a firewall would be sufficient for separation. The doors of the power distribution room can all be opened, and exhaust fans can definitely be installed on the side of those doors.
