Everyone, is electrolysis used in metal smelting? I pursued my master’s degree in electrochemistry, focusing on electrolysis and electroplating. I’m interested in working with copper electrolysis; I wonder if copper processing companies need expertise in electrochemistry? What are the copper enterprises in China?

The largest producers of electrolytic copper in terms of production capacity are Shandong Xiangguang, Tongling Erye, and Guangxi Jinchuan – all of them were designed to produce 400,000 tons of copper per year, but in reality they are able to produce 500,000 tons each. Electrolytic copper is already very mature; there’s no point in pursuing it.
No one wants lithium batteries; I’ve tried applying for them several times, but the approach isn’t right. My area of expertise is electroplating and electrolysis
Is there much research on the use of additives during the electrodeposition process?
