Over the years, there have been countless accidents of various sizes across the country. Investigations into these accidents have shown that 90% of them are caused by employees violating safety procedures. Therefore, it can be concluded that employees are key to ensuring safe production; as long as employees are managed properly so that they do not violate these procedures, accidents will not occur. Is this conclusion correct?
I think it’s the management. Managers authorize safety officers to carry out supervision and inspections, and employees also comply, ensuring that work is carried out in a safe manner rather than by focusing solely on speeding things up. I’ve encountered this before: when the working space is limited and it’s hot, workers take off their safety helmets to work, but the safety officers prevent them from doing so. The project manager then reprimands the safety officers, saying, “It’s so hot; be careful. We need to meet the deadline!” ” Duang, we collided and there’s bleeding. “How is your safety officer handling this?” ”
I also think it’s management. The establishment of a safety system, the development of a safety culture, and safety training within an organization rely primarily on safety managers to take the lead, set the tone, and ensure implementation; only when managers attach importance to this work can progress be achieved. Both safety officers and employees are the ones who carry out safety work in practice; only by setting requirements, organizing training, conducting evaluations and assessments, and providing supervision can safety efforts be improved.
As long as employees are conscious of avoiding violations and prioritize safety, accidents can be prevented.....
Safety should be achieved through the participation of everyone, as a collective effort! If the boss is unwilling to invest, no matter how skilled the managers and employees are, it won’t work. Similarly, if the safety conditions are good but managers fail to enforce them and employees do not follow the operating procedures, problems will still arise. If I have to ask who the key personnel are, I would first mention the managers. The boss can’t be in the company every day; it is the sense of responsibility of the managers that determines how things progress.
Are there any other comments? Everyone spoke freely; there was no fixed answer. Some friends who participated in the voting did not reply; they only voted without providing any explanation.
My option is “employee”. All employees are entitled to work in a safe environment, and at the same time have the obligation to comply with safety regulations and procedures. The so-called management personnel, especially those in charge of safety, are primarily responsible for conveying safety requirements to all employees and overseeing coordination efforts.
In my opinion, the quality of safety work depends crucially on managers: they determine the company’s safety management philosophy, the development of a safety culture, as well as the establishment of safety policies and conditions; Urge employees to comply with safety procedures ; And employees are the ones who carry out all decisions ; Trust us, we are among those large companies widely recognized for doing a good job in terms of security ; Without managers giving sufficient attention to safety, it cannot become a recognized model of safety.
