Our plant is equipped with units for atmospheric and vacuum distillation as well as delayed coking. This year, after the first and second stages of electrical desalination, a set of electrical desalination cyclone oil removers was installed – two cyclones and a sedimentation tank (which functions as an oil remover). It stopped operating not long after being put into use, and the reason was that the oil contained too much water during the oil removal process, causing a large amount of water to be carried along with the oil discharged from the sedimentation tank.
