Is the alignment of the turbine done by aligning it from both sides with the gearbox as the center, or from just one side? Does the open-mouth shadow affect the operation of the unit?
Conventionally, it is based on the speed gearbox and searched on both sides. The manufacturer’s instructions should be the primary guide.
Our factory focuses on the speed increase gearbox and adjusts things from both sides to find an optimal solution; if the foundations for the turbine and compressor are not suitable, the gearbox is relatively small, making it easy to adjust its position. I hope this helps you.
