Why is it advisable to avoid placing the pump outlet pipeline directly above the pump inlet pipeline?

As the title suggests, the direction of the bias is not restricted. Is this done to facilitate construction and operation? Also, why are there valves for testing and sampling on the outlet pipeline, and why should the pump’s outlet pipeline be as close to the pump as possible?
Where was this seen? It’s true; I really haven’t seen the pump outlet piping above the inlet pipeline.

I haven’t seen similar specifications, but this phenomenon generally doesn’t occur. From a technical perspective, it probably doesn’t hold any special significance, but it’s best to avoid it.

I think the main issue is the inconvenience of operation; I can’t think of any other reasonable reasons. Indeed, I’ve never seen the inlet and outlet pipes aligned in a straight line on site.
