Where should the water generated from the sludge in the plate-and-frame sludge thickening tank be sent? Some say it should go into the regulation tank, while others say it should go into the biological treatment tank. . . Which pool is the best to assign it to? Or both, just with different functions. So, what is the purpose of entering different pools?
It’s possible to feed water into that tank, but a choice needs to be made based on the actual conditions: 1. If the pH value of the water exiting the treatment unit is stable, and there are no other types of wastewater that could affect the biochemical treatment process – such as sludge from sedimentation tanks, or water containing heavy metals and other harmful substances due to lack of coagulation and sedimentation processes – then the water can be fed directly into the biochemical treatment tank; 2. Some sludge will be present in the water discharged from the tank; if the content of inorganic substances in this water is low, it can be directly fed into the biochemical tank ; 3. If the water temperature is high, it will have an adverse effect on the biochemical processes, so it is not suitable to feed the water into the biochemical tank ; 4. In summary, the volume of water discharged from the plates is relatively small, so the impact it has is minimal. If it is difficult for the water to enter the regulation tank, it can go directly into the biochemical treatment system; however, it is still advisable to send it through the regulation tank for better results.
