I obtained a Level 2 construction engineer certificate the year before last. Before the exam, I heard that the fee for using such a certificate on behalf of someone else was 10,000 yuan, but once I passed the exam I found that wasn’t the case. Not only was the fee lower, but to get the certificate registered, one had to send the original construction engineer certificate, graduation certificate, and ID card to the relevant party. There are even people online who say their certificates were lost. With little money and high risks, the certificate just stays at home. It is recommended that those who intend to take the exam first check out the situation in their own area; only if it’s worthwhile should they proceed with the exam.
Is that so? These days, my daughter-in-law is also pressuring me to get a Second-Class Constructor certificate whenever I have time, so as to help support the family. I lack energy; I kept hesitating and in the end gave up!
If it’s not meaningful just from the perspective of increasing income, it’s advisable to obtain relevant certificates for one’s job. Even if it doesn’t lead to an increase in income, it still helps to strengthen one’s knowledge in that area, which might prove useful in other situations.
If it’s Jiangsu, it’s recommended not to take the exam – the market there is already saturated. Moreover, there are new regulations now: a second-level construction engineer certificate must be held alongside an intermediate construction professional title certificate. No one wants to take the exam for just one level of the Second-Class Constructor qualification. I have an intermediate professional title, but unfortunately it’s in the field of machinery, not construction. :'(
That’s absolutely right. I’m currently preparing for the pressure vessel inspection certificate exam; even if I don’t pass, learning more will still be useful for my work.
There are more and more certificates of various kinds, so it’s not surprising that prices are falling.
The second-level qualification seems to have little practical use; it’s equivalent to an intermediate professional title and is basically useless. A first-level constructor or a senior engineer, on the other hand, are somewhat useful! But their utility isn’t as great as people think.:lol

Registration certificates for those over 60 years old have been invalidated, so it’s better to take the exam while still young. There is no such thing as saturation; only whether it is suitable or not.
