I would like to ask the experts: what is a manifold?

I have just started working in the manufacturing field. There is a record sheet in the documents related to steel pipe cutting and fitting processing, which contains information on manifolds. However, after checking it thoroughly, I’m not quite sure what exactly a manifold is. For example, at our construction site, there are 5 vent pipes on the natural gas station, all of which converge into one main pipe before being vented. Does this count as a manifold?
No way, that should be the main pipe that just became empty
We sometimes refer to manifolds that are not manufactured as pressure vessels as gas collectors or pipe manifolds.
Does what I’m talking about count as a manifold?
It’s more or less what the original poster meant.
Terms such as vent main and drain main are common names used in daily production; at the design level, they are all referred to as pipe assemblies.
That’s more or less what it means; there’s also a steam drum on the steam system, and it’s the same in that case

What is a manifold? ? One import and multiple exports, multiple imports and one export, multiple imports and multiple exports – this is my personal understanding; I hope experts can correct me……
