The outlets of the two pumps merge into one pipeline, and the two pumps operate simultaneously. In that case, how is the pump head determined? Is the calculation done from the pump outlet to the main pipe, or all the way to the end? Can the flow rate at the outlet of one pump go into the outlet of another pump?
Choose two pumps with the same head; during calculation, it is done from start to finish, so there is no situation where the flow rate at the outlet of one pump enters the outlet of the other pump.
If the head values of the two pumps are different, the one with the higher head will determine the value, and the head value of the pump with the lower head will decrease.
As mentioned on the second floor, if you decide to choose pumps, you should pick two identical pumps; it’s best that their head, flow rate, power, and other specifications be the same. The head value needs to be considered carefully, as a lower head will result in a reduced flow rate. Backflow is not likely to occur; this kind of situation is rare. Pumps that are connected together at the outlet are usually used one after another, with one serving as a backup
When a centrifugal pump is manufactured, it operates according to its performance curve; by taking into account the characteristics of the pipeline, it will operate at a point on that performance curve. Once you find this point, it will be easy to understand.
The head change is minimal, while the flow rate increases significantly, but not in a multiplicative manner.
The flow rate should be less than the original flow rate, only that
