Author/Source: Date: 2016-08-18 Clicks: 4 On July 6, 2016, Shanxi Quansheng Industrial Co., Ltd. signed a technology transfer contract for a 400,000-ton/year ethylene glycol production process package with Shanghai Pu Jing Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. Wang Xusheng, chairman of Shanxi Quansheng, and other members of the delegation attended the signing ceremony. This project uses coal as raw material and employs the pressurized gasification of pulverized coal in space-based furnaces, along with Shanghai Pujing Chemical’s patented technology for producing ethylene glycol from syngas. It is designed to produce 400,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol in the first phase (with a total capacity of 1.2 million tons per year across two phases). The total investment in this project is 15.56 billion yuan, and it will be built in the Konggang Development Zone of Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province. Shanxi Quansheng Industrial Co., Ltd. has 5 wholly-owned subsidiaries, namely Shanxi Quansheng Ethylene Glycol Products Co., Ltd., Shanxi Quansheng Lithium-ion Battery Co., Ltd., Shanxi Quansheng Polyester Fiber Co., Ltd., Shanxi Quansheng New Energy Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Shanxi Quansheng Photovoltaic Power Generation Co., Ltd. The company’s main business activities include the production and processing of coal-based products, chemical fibers, and textiles; research and development in magnetic suspension power technology; sewage treatment; production of lithium-ion batteries; manufacturing of new energy electric vehicles; and production of photovoltaic power generation equipment.
