The surface deflagration ignition system uses a mixture of compressed air and natural gas, with a high-pressure pack connecting to the spark plug for ignition. The flame transmission method is internal flame transmission, and the height of the torch is 75 meters. The natural gas pressure is 0.8 MPa, and the compressed air pressure is also 0.8 MPa. A pneumatic diaphragm control valve is used to regulate the flow rate. The diameter of the two pipelines is 25 mm, while the diameter of the inlet to the gas mixing and deflagration chamber is 10 mm. Adjust the opening degree of the pneumatic diaphragm control valve to: 1.82% for natural gas, and 43% for compressed air. The success rate of detonation upon entering the mixing chamber is about 50%. How can it be adjusted to achieve 100% success?
In my opinion, the ratio controlled by the pneumatic diaphragm control valve should be 1:1; ideally, the pressure ratio should also be 1:1. We use C3 gas along with compressed air for internal flame ignition. I’ll provide you with the relevant data: the ignition device’s fuel flow rate is 16.2 Nm3/h, with a pressure of 70 kPa (gauge pressure); the type of gas used is C3 gas. The compression air flow rate for the ignition device is 162 Nm3/h, also at a pressure of 70 kPa (gauge pressure).
