Several small square steel plates are welded onto the body of the boiler drum – what are they?
Is it a pre-welded plate, meant for installing platforms or pipe supports in the future?
Where are the pictures? It could also be used for insulation!
This is called a pre-welding plate; it is a weldable steel plate reserved so that welding does not need to be performed on the compressed component after it has been manufactured
The most likely possibility is a pre-soldered board. It’s also possible to be a temperature sensing plate
