How to understand the SIS system diagram on the control panel: various conditions are connected using ‘and’ and ‘or’, there’s also the concept of three-out-of-two voting, bypassing, RS, Ai, Di, Ao, Do, etc. I specialize in process engineering, not instrumentation.
Find a legend to take a look; the legend for the SIS interlock system should be available there, and the markings are usually quite clear
I can only look at it bit by bit and use the legend as a reference. The same approach is used in the instrumentation field as well.
I feel that understanding the DCS/SIS logic is easier to grasp than for instrument operators.

First, look at the legend to grasp its meaning and determine whether it’s positive logic or negative logic. Then start memorizing the various trigger conditions (one should know all the interlock trigger conditions by heart). With enough practice, you’ll become familiar with them
