Differences in valve naming

Can we tell what the difference is between XV-1001 and HV-1001 just from their names? Thank you.
XV-1001: On-off valve; HV-1001: Control valve, and it does not form a control loop; it is generally referred to as a manual control valve.
Generally, interlock cut-off valves are denoted by XV, while HV refers to control valves that are manually operated from the control room.
Our xv is classified as cut-off. HV, I remember it was simply a manually controlled control valve
X usually refers to undetermined, meaning it can be used in any operating condition or at any testing location; it is generally used for cutting off connections or for manual control. H usually denotes manual operation, and is used for manual adjustments, such as manually adjusting the air flow at the bottom of a furnace or manually controlling the feed rate in a production line
xv should be the emergency shut-off valve, while hv is the remote control valve
The former is a on/off valve, while the latter is a manually adjustable valve
