Issues with the inlets and outlets of fixed pressure vessels

Is there any difference in the calculations for the inlet and outlet of fixed pressure vessels for gases? Originally, the gas equipment had the inlet in the middle and the outlet at the top; can it be used with them reversed now? 20 cubic meters, vertical tank! What about at the safety valve? Can there be special treatments or calculation methods? I’m not in the equipment business; I’m just helping out
Generally, the outlet of gas storage tanks is located at the top. I’m not sure if there are any problems the other way around…
If the medium is a pure gas phase, it is possible.

Does this jar serve as a buffer or for storage? Personally, I think it’s not a big issue if it’s used for storage, but if it’s used for buffering, it seems better to have the outlet on top.
