Should a methanol installation be equipped with a combustible gas alarm or a toxic gas alarm? I once saw a post on the Haichuan Forum that contained an in-depth discussion on this issue, but I can’t find it no matter what. Isn’t there a standard? It should be installed in a flammable area.
Treat it as a combustible gas; in my opinion, the explosive risk of the leaked methanol mixture is much greater than its toxicity.
I don’t know much about methanol; aside from its connection to alcohol, all we know is that it’s related to drinking:D Isn’t methanol capable of causing blindness? Even drinking alcohol containing methanol can cause blindness.

It’s possible; it can be considered to be in the moderate hazard category! But it should be ingested, right? There’s no big problem with touching it with hands usually!
For combustible gas detectors, it is recommended that the poster check the MSDS for methanol – its explosion range is quite wide, and its lower explosion limit is very low! Of course, methanol is also toxic; relatively speaking, it poses a greater risk of fire and explosion. If you can afford it, install both!
