Dear HaiChuan friends! Have anyone used the Memosens smart float? I have a question: can a Memosens smart float designed for level measurement be used for measuring liquid levels as well?
Although I have never seen a Mesonilan float, in principle it should work; for example, such devices measure the proportion of oil to water – 0% when it’s all oil, and 100% when it’s all water. It’s even simpler if you’re measuring liquid level: 0% means there’s nothing, while 100% means it’s all water. Isn’t it usually the water calibration method? If it’s a medium with a density greater than that of water, the range will be different
There should be no problem; as long as the specific gravity is set correctly, the liquid level can be measured.
One of our company’s Memosens floats used for level measurement had its settings adjusted by colleagues in order to measure liquid levels; however, the readings were not linear – when the liquid level dropped to around 45, the reading became 0. Adjusting it according to the boundaries again brings it back to normal. I think since the float is designed to select either a set point or a liquid level, it should be possible to use it for measuring the liquid level. I really can’t understand why the calibration doesn’t work! Personally, I think the parameters are not set correctly. Friends who have used the Mesonilan buoy, please come and share your insights!

Calibrate the zero point and range using HART. Specifically, zero is set when there is no liquid level, and the full liquid level marks a scale range of 100%.
