This week’s topic: Given a given impeller, how can we determine its direction of rotation just by looking at it from above? Everyone is welcome to actively participate in the discussion!
It depends on the category and purpose of the device in question, to determine whether it rotates clockwise or counterclockwise.
Sprinkle a small amount of water on it, and determine the rotation direction of the impeller by observing the direction in which it falls.
It depends on the equipment and the type of mixing; whether the material moves downward or upward is needed to determine the rotation direction of the impeller
How to determine the rotation direction of the impeller
It depends on the flow channels of the impeller. Under normal circumstances, by looking at the impeller and determining the rotation direction of its blades, it’s possible to figure out its rotation direction. Reverse-rotating impellers are quite rare after all; as for radial impellers, I’m at a loss and can’t determine their rotation direction right away...
Under normal conditions, the impeller moves axially inward and radially outward, making its direction clear.
Generally, the blades of the impeller in centrifugal pumps are backward-curved, and based on this, the rotation direction of the impeller can be determined directly.
