How to connect the primary door and the secondary door

Power plant instruments are equipped with primary valves and secondary valves. What type of valves should be used for the primary valves and for the secondary valves? How are these two types of valves connected? Are there any relevant photos?
The first type is a gate valve, with its front and rear parts welded shut as well; subsequent ones are generally needle valves, also with threaded connections.
Gate valves are generally used for doors; welding is common, and flanges can also be used. For secondary valves, needle-type globe valves are generally used; they can be sealed with clamps or by welding using gaskets.
