The load at the top of the tower is very high: 70 tons of gasoline per hour. The flash point of diesel is very low, at 48 degrees. Conventional methods are not effective in raising its flash point. How should I proceed? Help.
Increase the draw rate of the initial distillation column, as well as the draw rate of the first constant-pressure distillation column; increase the stripping in the second constant-pressure stripping column. Let’s analyze the boiling ranges of each product.
The stripping column can be operated at higher settings to raise the flash point; meanwhile, the reflow between stages can be reduced, the gas temperature inside the column can be increased, and the boiling range can be expanded
Don’t worry about it affecting the yield; I have a diesel flash point booster that raises the flash point of diesel to ensure it meets the standards. There is no need to reduce the yield, nor is any process adjustment required.
If conventional methods do not work, consider whether there is misflow in the trays, especially at the beginning of operation when the operator’s handling is not steady
